Грузопоток через Забайкальск увеличился на 55%

In the first three months of this year, transit traffic on the Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli railway grew by 55%, according to the Russian website “EastRussia” of 18 April 2023. The volume of Russian exports to China exceeds imports.

According to the Zabaikalsky Railway Bureau, in the first quarter of this year the Zabaikalsky-Manchuria railway transported 4.92 million tons of goods, of which Russian exports to China amounted to 4.346 million USD and Russian imports from China increased by 13% to 574,000 tons. The volume of Russian imports from China increased by 13% to 574,000 tonnes.

It is reported that this year, Russia will carry out the second phase of reconstruction of the Zabaikalsk border checkpoint, which will be completed with the operation of 32 pairs of trains per day.
